At least right now. I don't know that he's ready for major league hitters yet, even though he insists that he is, despite giving up multiple runs to 19 year old prospects not named Bryce Harper.Fernando Alejandrohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11051242696406856273noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-315155203706829641.post-33434769010349043262012-05-07T20:18:34.324-07:002012-05-07T20:18:34.324-07:00Sounds very interesting! Poor McDonald, he gave up the game-winning runs and then grounded into the game-ending double play. Chris Davis pitched two scoreless innings despite not having pitched since junior college in 2006.

It was the first time both teams in a MLB game had used position players to pitch since 1925. Those players were Ty Cobb and George Sisler.

I don't feel sorry for the Red Sox because of all the hype about the 2011 team, followed by the organization's mistreatment of Francona, plus the team having three players I can't stand (Beckett, Lackey and Youkilis).

In other news, I was at Pettitte's AAA start in Rochester yesterday. Keeping in mind that the defense behind him was dreadful, he wasn't pitching like he's the answer to the Yankees' pitching problems.Rich Mahoganyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17078545531672950308noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-315155203706829641.post-46522458802239793402012-05-07T13:38:01.741-07:002012-05-07T13:38:01.741-07:00And I caught part of that game Rich, though I didn...And I caught part of that game Rich, though I didn't see where Darnell McDonald gave up the runs!Fernando Alejandrohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11051242696406856273noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-315155203706829641.post-1409977994565627142012-05-07T13:35:58.181-07:002012-05-07T13:35:58.181-07:00No, the definition of the Yankees is winning, and ...No, the definition of the Yankees is winning, and that's always stood separate from our hatred of the Red Sox.
