My thinking through four games was that if the Yankees win, A-Rod is the MVP based on what he's done in the last two games and throughout the postseason. But I had completely forgotten about Mo, who really is easy to take for Granted. Mo has shutdown the opposing offense in three straight games, with the first being a two inning performance. A-Rod didn't hit in game two, but Mo pitched. With that being said, who would you peg as the MVP if we win?
If Mo gets save tonight...him. Although if AJ pitches another gem, he may get my vote.
ReplyDeleteThat is a good point. AJ was huge in game 2, and another big night by him makes him a strong contender for the MVP.
ReplyDeleteHow come you guys stopped tweeting? How bout some tonight for old times sake?
ReplyDeleteI need to see how the rest of the series plays out, but right now my vote is for Mariano. He has done the job and I feel confident seeing him come in.
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid the Twitter account was in my name and since I've moved to England I can't follow the games live anymore. I tried, but staying up to 5am isn't as easy as it used to be for me. I won't be tweeting tonight I'm afraid, but maybe we'll have to find a way to incorporate it again.
ReplyDeleteMy vote goes to Mo, because the bullpen has been so inconsistent we need Mo for more than 3 outs. I don't know if we would be up 3-2 if we didn't have Mo.
ReplyDeleteMo will likely be the player to have played a role in every Yankees win, so there's a strong case to make for Mo.
ReplyDeleteA-Rod should be in that MVP consideration big time. For me its likely between A-Rod, Damon and Mariano. Those three have been otherwordly since getting to the world series.
