Hughes Was Too Legit to Quit, But Felix Was Too Legit to Lose

The Good

Hughes finished with a good line, giving up just 2 runs over 6 innings despite giving up 9 hits. His fastball was hitting 93 mph, which apparently makes a world of difference. Gardner drew a couple walks and stole a base.

The Bad

Curtis Grandersons errors led to too many runs scoring, saddling the bullpen with an inflated run total they do not feel responsible for. It doesn't look like it much mattered though, seeing as the Yankees could not hit King Felix.

The Ugly

The Mariners ended their losing streak yesterday at 17 games. Having tasted victory, the Mariners have an insatiable taste for more, and will not stop until they get at least another win.

Nothing

That's how much money we're donating to the Children's Health Fund after the Yankees poor showing with the bats yesterday.

Mark Teixeira 28hr = $56
Curtis Granderson 28hr = $56
Russell Martin 10hr = $20
Alex Rodriguez 13hr = $26
Jorge Posada 9hr = $18
Robinson Cano 16hr = $32
Andruw Jones 5hr = $10
Brett Gardner 4hr = $8
Nick Swisher 12hr = $24
Derek Jeter 4hr = $8
Francisco Cervelli 1hr = $2
Eduardo Nunez 3hr = $6
Ramiro Pena 1hr = $2
Total = $268
