The Good
For the second game in a row, Mark Teixeira has provided the power. Mark's 3-run homerun gave the Yankees a 4-3 lead that they would not give back. This is after hitting a grandslam to put the Yankees ahead in the previous game. David Phelps was powerfully stingy. After being unable to pitch out of the first inning in his last outing, Phelps threw 6 shutout innings, striking out 7 in the process.
The Bad
It's tough watching David Adams go through a bit of a slump. I'm really pulling for him to make it on the big league level, which is hard to do when you're hitting .231.
The Ugly
A-Rod's back in the spotlight as it was reported that MLB is seeking a 100-game suspension for him, for allegedly purchasing PED's from the now defunct Biogenesis clinic. The 100-game suspension would cost him $15.3 million of his annual salary for 2013. Anthony Bosch who ran the clinic is apparently ready to rat out a number of clients including some whose names have not appeared in his famed notebooks. As my brother put it, drug dealers make the worst friends!
A Pinch of Pop
For a second straight day, Mark Teixeira has given the children hope to over come their sniffles. That's $2 more for the kids!

I hope ARod can contribute some of that roid power to the team before he is drummed out of baseball.
But based on that article, I doubt he will be suspended. The theory on how to tag him for a 100 game suspension sounds awfully convoluted and implausible. And consider that MLB is so incompetent that it couldn't get Braun suspended after he failed a drug test. Now it wants to hand out 100-game suspensions on the word of a guy with no credibility?
Yeah, It's so true. MLB has no teeth, and the player's union does a good job of protecting its players. At most you can expect a 50-game suspension for A-Rod, and don't be surprised if he gets nothing on another stupid technicality.
I don't think he will be suspended at all unless he fails a drug test or confesses.
You might be right. Putting your whole case on the hand written notebook of a drug dealer, and that drug dealer himself may not be enough.
MLB has to convince the neutral baseball arbitrator on the appeal panel that the suspension is warranted. I can't imagine MLB successfully making that argument without incontrovertible evidence, especially after the Braun case, and especially considering that tens of millions of dollars in player salaries will be lost if 50 or 100 game suspensions are handed out.
