The exclamation points may have been excessive, but I needed to get your attention. Today is the last day to get in on the Children's Health Fund raffle for two tickets to the August 7 game between the Yankees and Red Sox at Yankee stadium. These aren't cheap tickets either, you'll be sitting within booing distance of the field. You can yell that Kevin Youkillis is a jerk, and he'll probably hear you! You can make Kevin Youkillis cry, and forever hold that as your fondest memory of visiting Yankee stadium. However, you will not be able to do any of that unless you enter into the raffle.
Here's how it works: Donate now to the Children's Health Fund in any amount or sign up for the Yankees Homerun Club (where you make a per homerun pledge for the season) AND tell them that you were referred by the RJG blog (Important Step! Don't Skip It!). The Children's Health Fund will automatically enter you into the raffle. The drawing will be done, and if you win, you'll be yelling obscenities at Big Papi within a few weeks. And more importantly, you would have donated to an important cause to help bring health care to underprivileged children in our community.
Now some of you out there want to donate but do not feel like you have enough to give. Remember that any amount you give will get you entered into the raffle. If you can give a lot then give a lot, if you can give a little, then give a little. Every dollar helps so please consider freeing up some money for this cause.
