Yankees Strike Back

The Good

8 and 0. Those are the two numbers that stand out in yesterdays. 8 runs from the Yankees, and 0 runs allowed by AJ Burnett. Further more, only one of those runs was by a homerun. That means that yes, the Yankees can in fact score runs without the ball leaving the park.

Also good, Chamberlain and Mitre pitched 2.2 innings allowing 0 runs. Who knew that was possible?

The Bad

Jeter's 0-5 night stands out. Jeter's been having a sub-par year at the plate which is a bit odd considering that this is a walk year. My guess is that Jeter ends up batting over .300 for the season.

The Ugly

We will all be subject to another day of anticipating A-Rod's 600th homerun.

The Yankees Do Love The Children

Robinson Cano hit a solo homerun yesterday, granting a $2 donation from the RJG to the Children's Health Fund, and giving hope to the children. Thank you Cano.

Posada 12hr = $24
Granderson 10hr = $20
Cano 19hr = $38
Swisher 18hr = $36
Jeter 9hr = $18
Johnson 2hr = $4
Rodriguez 15hr = $30
Teixeira 20hr = $40
Thames 3hr = $6
Gardner 5hr = $10
Winn 1hr = $2
Miranda 3hr = $6
Curtis 1hr = $1
Total = $236
