Hughes Going to Triple A

It looks like Hughes is getting sent to Scranton. I would suspect the 89mph fastball had something to do with it.

Update: Things move quickly. Apparently Hughes is going to the DL with a dead arm. This was apparent to anyone who saw him pitch this season, but as a medical concern its largely fabricated. Its almost like the "flu" you call out of work with that first day of spring.

Hard to argue with this move considering the wretchedness of his starts. Now who is Lance Pendleton? Is that his real name?

Sounds like a character out of a Sherlock Holmes novel.

Amazing that we can follow the team so closely and still have no idea who some of these callups are. From his B-REF page, my guess is Pendleton, a 27-year old career minor leaguer, will spend some quality time in the bullpen and get to pitch if we are up or down by 10 runs.

Boston announced Adrian Gonzalez's contract extension. They put the same language in Gonzalez's contract that they put in Crawford's contract: if they trade Gonzalez, his new team can't trade him to the Yankees.

That is just obnoxious.

Pendleton is the guy who can pitch 3 no-hit innings out of the bullpen in relief of the wild ones.

That's who.

Lance, you can't leave comments under a pseudonym!

I like Pendleton. That's my new slogan.
