Thought I'd pass this along. Roy Halladay took out a full page ad in a the Toronto Sun thanking Jays fans for their support during his time in Toronto. Class act that Roy Halladay.
Sabathia did something similar with the Indians traded him.
Considering how poorly the Blue Jays ran their team during his tenure there, I would not have blamed Halladay if he took out a full page ad just of himself giving the finger.
Halladay is truly a class act and a guy who genuinely seems to care more about winning than money. The deal he signed with the Phillies is evidence of that. He didn't hold them hostage to a five year deal at $23M (Santana and Sabathia figures) per as he could have. He agreed to a lucrative, but doable contract for the Phillies in exchange for a chance to win. That's rare these days.
