Yanks Win Another Series

The Good

Girardi brought in Robertson and Marte in the 7th and we still won. Pettitte continues to pitch well, and today he gave us 6.1 innings of 0 earned run ball. Both Teixeira and Posada hit home runs today, earning them the nickname of 'The TP Boys.'

The Bad

A Beavis & Butthead reference? Really? Also, we allowed the Twins to score one run, like cowards.

The Ugly

The Yankees scored four runs in the seventh inning today, putting a game out of reach that they already clearly had in hand.

"It was unfair," explained Twins catcher Joe Mauer. "They were already winning, and they were going to win, and then they just kept scoring runs. Who does that?"

Do You Have TP?

As mentioned before Teixeira and Posada both hit home runs . . . one handed.

Posada 6hr = $12
Granderson 2hr = $4
Cano 9hr = $18
Swisher 7hr = $14
Jeter 4hr = $8
Johnson 2hr = $4
Rodriguez 4hr = $8
Teixeira 7hr = $14
Thames 1hr = $2
Gardner 2hr = $4
Winn 1hr = $2
Total = $90

I've been waiting for Andy to shrivel up and just melt away, but it is yet to happen. Fantasy steal.

Pettitte's been very impressive, just no way around it. I was disappointed when we skipped his last start b/c having Pettitte in the rotation always helps temper any skid the Yanks might find themselves in. We probably split the series if Pettitte pitches in Detroit, but preserving him for the long haul, begrudgingly, was the right thing to do.

what has it been, 3 years since you've started this blog? How long have I been saying this: Jeter, Posada, Rivera and AROD, age dammit!!!!! There must be a fountain of youth I dont know about in the bronx. I must find it!

Unlike yogurt, Andy seems to get better with age.

LG, the crazy Gardenhire decision from the previous game was IBBing Teixeira to load the bases for ARod. I don't care who pitches then, that reliever is in a horrible situation thanks to his manager's decision.

Unfortunately I am still stuck in RI. I should be down there sometime at the end of June.
