Mo Blows Opener

The Good

I went to bed before the end of the game last night.

The Bad

I woke up to the check the score this morning only to find out we lost!

The Ugly

Then I read that Mo blew the game. I didn't want to believe it. I know it's 4/20, so all these writers were high, right? That must be it. But no. Mo blew the game. I still blame Soriano.

Why Mo? Why?

That's what Texeira and Granderson asked after the game. They each hit a home run, for nothing. (Except $4 for the kids).

Mark Teixeira 6hr = $12
Curtis Granderson 5hr = $10
Russell Martin 4hr = $8
Alex Rodriguez 4hr = $8
Jorge Posada 5hr = $10
Robinson Cano 4hr = $8
Andruw Jones 1hr = $2
Total = $58

This can't be happening!

At least the Red Sox lost too. Are they mathematically eliminated yet?

I enjoy the fact that according to Baseball Prospectus, some teams already are basically eliminated (and the Astros have a 0.0% of making the playoffs).

True, but they held those odds before the season even began.

I can't believe we're still the only team in the AL East with a winning record. Crazy.
