Scott Proctor's Elbow

Joe Torre's favorite reliever, Scott Proctor, has been placed on the DL with an elbow injury. While I haven't been following the Dodgers, my guess is he's thrown around 150 innings at this point in the season. Many people criticized Joe Torre for his handling of the bullpen during his time in New York, despite the fact that in the later years he never had a particularly solid bullpen, which of course was his fault anyway for not doing Cashman's job for him.

Shawn Chacon pulled a Lattrell Sprewell and choked out his GM yesterday. On behalf of everyone who has ever wanted to choke out one of their employers, let me be the first to say, "Thank you." Could Chacon be our number 4? Who knows, but watch out for Cashman's left, he's deceptively fast.

With Joba emerging as a solid starter (giving the Yankees three with Mussina and Pettite) should the Yankees still make a trade? Should we be looking for an Arroyo or Chacon type to eat up innings or should we try to piece the four and five spots internally at least until Kennedy or Hughes learns to throw strikes?

After Arroyo's 10 run, one inning masterpiece, I dont think he is the innings eater that the yankees are looking for. You guys actually had Chacon during 2005. If I'm not mistaken, him, and Aaron Small carried the rotation that year (Jon Lieber too, I think).

I don't want Chacon. He really fell off hard. I think the answer is somewhere in the farm system. Maybe give a few kids a try before bringing Kennedy and Hughes back to give them a shot.

I'd be willing to sign Freddy Garcia, but beyond that I'd agree to let the farm system try its hand. Let's start with Jeff Karstens and Chase Wright and move from there. Dan McCutchen...

Proctor is at 31.2 innings with a 6.82 ERA. Not exactly what he once was. I know Torre overused him, but before that he was lucky to even be in the bigs because he stunk.

im going to make a big assumption and say that hughes only sucked because he had a broken rib...if that were the case, than we'll have 4 starters who don't suck...which leaves us with one spot...

Cashman said Pavano should be ready by august....

Anyone know why Proctor's baby momma is living in Boston now?

I forgot about Freddy Garcia. That would be a decent move. I'm just against trading for a pitcher right now. The only pitcher I would want via trade is Scott Kazmir, and that would cost us way too much.

Anonymous and Lap Dawg, this isn't the place for gossip. Tiffany was one of the people who helped me get this blog started, so despite what you may think you know or do know, this just isn't the site for it. Now if yall want to throw out your opinions on how to fix this rotation, I'm all ears.

Didn't mean any disrespect but you write a story about Proctor, you should probably expect someone to ask about Tiffany. I was just wondering if they are still together or if she is really still in Boston. Do you know her? Is she as big a bitch as everyone says she is?

I'm just surprised people care that much about what happens between a trifling middle reliever and someone who participated in a game show. Scott Proctor isn't A-Rod. I liked the guy, but let's face it, his claim to fame is being overused by Joe Torre.

I don't know what other people say, but she's always been cool with me, and I have a lot of respect for her because of what she's gone through with all this crap. Everyone has something they wish they could do over in their lives, but none of those people have to go through as much garbage as she has with this. People still harass her about this crap. I suspect those same people have no lives.

I wasn't around so I can't speak to what happened. A lot of rumors fly around, and some may be true. But my basic point is why does anyone care? Why do you even care? You say you mean no disrespect, than you ask if she's as big a "bitch" as others say. What if someone was talking about your sister like that? Or your mother? I don't know if you're a guy or a girl, but either way that crap should hit home.

I ain't condoning anything, I'm just saying that she's been good peoples to me and no one with a life worth living should get so involved in rumors like this. Not when there's Yankee talk going on.

And with that said, I'm obliging you Lap Dawg to give a solution for this rotation. I want to hear what you gotta say about that. So what do you think? Garcia, Chacon, trade, or farm? Or maybe a new solution no one's considered?

And Bucky, I'm with you on the Hughes thing. I'm hoping that's all it was, but the Yankees as a team can't bank on it. Otherwise, Hughes shows up, gets shelled his first couple times out, and the Yankees are right where they are now.

In any case, I'd send Hughes back to the minors for the season. The guy needs innings, so if he pitches bad starts you don't want to take him out of the game in the 3rd inning. He is only 21 years old. Let's see where he is 4-6 years from now. Not everyone can be Joba...

Same story with Kennedy.

Why dont they just bring Shawn Chacon back for your pal Tiffany? Shes not even pretty enough to get a GOOD player!

Exactly!!! I've seen some pretty ugly jersey chasers, but Tiffany is right up there. How did she do a YES show in the first place. ugh!

Tiffany got on that YES show because she's a smart, funny and beautiful person on the inside and out. The fact that you jealous Yankee fans are still harrassing her after 2 years is just pathetic.

Proctor and Tiffany are STILL together even though he's with his wife. Isn't that sad?
