Manny Ramirez Becomes Belligerent

If it comes as a surprise that Manny Ramirez would knock down a traveling secretary, than clearly you never read our Jeter Strikes Back story series that was critically acclaimed* and revered. Needless to say, we saw it coming. Ramirez has been far more aggressive this year, as just a few weeks ago he tried to attack Kevin Youkillis. Personally, I would really like to see the Kyle Farnsworth - Manny Ramirez brawl. Manny is more compact than Farnsworth, but Farnsworth just looks like he could knock someones head off with a single blow. Its pure speculation at this point, but maybe we're just one pitch behind Manny away from seeing it happen. Anyway, the point is, Manny can't just attack traveling secretaries. Its not gangster.

*No credible critics actually acclaimed the Jeter Strikes Back story series. However, our one anonymous poster seemed to like it.

Someone had the theory that it was Minute Maid Park going Amityville horror house on players, first Chacon, now Ramirez. Its weird because Manny is the last guy to get worked up, he almost never argues with an ump after he strikes out (unless it was really, really, really terrible), and now he attacks two people in a two week span. I cant explain it, I can only accept it.

That's not a bad theory, though it doesn't expain Manny's attack on Youkillis. Or his attempted arson on a nursery school.

Thank God Jeter was there to save those kids.

I knew that sounded familiar. I just went back and looked up the Jeter Strikes Back series. In mannys defense, he did want to burn down the animal shelter. Although, he was trying to do both. Wow. He is a bastard.

That's a good point Fred. We'll be promoting some rivalry related propaganda for the upcoming series. That should be a good series.

Yeah, too bad both our teams are getting their ass handed to them by the rays. Dont get me wrong, its awesome that the rays are competing, but, its like some kind of bizzaro world having the rays lead the AL East this late in the season. Speaking of the rays, how awesome would it have been if Crisp wasnt suspended for tonights game? Its starting to look like the late 90's again, when pedro threw at everybody and incited brawls.

The Rays are ready to fight anyone. They went at it with the Yankees in Spring training when Melky punched Evan Longoria in the back of the head, and then the whole Coco incident. It might just be their renewed life now that they're actually competing.

Manny attacked Youkillis for being too ugly and for throwing tantrums.
Ugliness and tantrums are bad combination for pro athletes.
Manny must have watched "The Texas Chain Saw Massacre" too many times. He should be banned for at least 50 games. Attacking anyone other than Red Sox players is not acceptable.
BTW, let's hope Shields's golden fist can find Coco's face this time.

Unrelated, but did anyone see the player's union file a grievance on behalf of Chacon for being released "without justifiable cause?" Keep that in mind, if the player's union has its way, you can choke your boss and not have grounds to be let go!
