The Good
A-rod and Posada came up with a pair of hits each and both knocked in some runs. Bruney was masterful over 2 innings with 4 strikeouts. Ohlendorf also pitched a pair of innings giving up 1 run off a homerun, but overall was effective.
The Bad
This offense is lame. Damon and Jeter were awful table setters, and Cano needs to do something about his bat. Pettitte was not sharp at all, but that homerun made the outing look worse than it was.
The Ugly
The Yankees loaded the bases early on, only to have Damon pop up and Jeter strikeout. They loaded the bases later in the game, and Posada stepped up with a hit, but the rally was cut short by Matsui and Duncan. Edwin Jackson just dominated the Yankees.
Respect Jeter's Gangster is for the Children
Respect Jeter's Gangster joined Johnny Damon's Homerun Club, and is giving $1.00 for every homerun the Yankees hit this season. The money goes to the Children's Health Fund. Throughout the season, we will keep a running tally of the homeruns and money donated. No homeruns yesterday, they need to make up for that today:
Melky Cabrera 1hr = $1.00
Alex Rodriguez 1hr = $1.00
Hideki Matsui 1 hr = $1.00
Total = $3.00
