The Bronny Cash School of Management
The Yanks signed CC for a reported 7 years and $160M. On the plus side, there can no longer be any discussion of whether the Yankees have an ace. We know have two. But I can't help but notice the extra year and $20M. I guess you have to do what you have to do. The other thing I can't help but notice is that the Yankees are now willing to best Atlanta's offer to Burnett. So I must ask, how sever is Cash's drinking problem? I mean, I know that attractive waitresses in skimply outfits walk around the floors of Las Vegas casinos with free booze for the big players, but Cash has to lay off. Burnett? Really? Go for Lowe, he'll be healthy and eat up innings (think Pettitte without the PED scandal). Consider Sheets and Pettitte as well. But don't get pavanoed a second time Bronny, that's not a good look. Lordavmercy!

Please dear god let Atlanta sign Apple Jacks Burnett!!!!
Amen. Not wild about Red Sox-loving Lowe though. I'd take a chance on Sheets, injuries and all. He's cheaper. Give him a two-year deal and pray.
I'll admit, I'm increasingly enamored with the idea of Ben Sheets. First, we'd really stick it to the Brewers that way. Second, it's a cheaper and shorter term option giving the injury concerns. With Joba, Wang, and CC we're only going to be on the market for back of the rotation starters from here on out. So losing a longer term deal with a Burnett or Lowe isn't a big issue to me.
I had Sheets on one of my fantasy baseball teams last year, and he was phenomenal, a completely awesome pitcher right up until early September, and it was due to an actual injury, not just end of season burn out. I say let's get him cheap, well cheaper than Lowe or Burnett and let him develop since he's still young. I really liked his stuff last year.
I agree with Tribegirl (thanks for CC btw), Sheets will come cheap and has Ace stuff, and not just in flashes like with Pavano when he signed. He's consistently awesome when healthy. I'm on board for Sheets.
Just bring back Dandy Andy and let Lowe pitch for his stupid Red Sox.
The most exicting thing about having both Apple Juice and Mr. Banshee in our rotation is that both of them might land on the 60-day DL on the opening day.
