Pettitte May Have Another Offer

Heyman is reporting over at cnnsi.com that it is rumored that Pettitte has received a 3 year, $36M offer. Apparently the Yanks have not moved their offer, either because $10M is their limit or because they don't believe there is actually another offer out there.

He's not worth it. He has to know that he's not worth 16 million. If he won't budge than fine. Honestly, the Yanks would probably be better off with Lowe or Sheets come August and Pettite's arm is tired.

I guess the thing is that you're worth whatever the market will pay for you, and if he really has a 3 year $13 million per offer on the table he would be stupid not to take it. Unless of course he wants to retire after one more season. Either way, the Yankees won't go for $16 million on one more season. Not with the season he gave us last year.

Stop playing mean bastard, Hal. Just give Andy his 13M and move on to Manny.
