Bold Prediction

The Red Sox are coming to the Bronx for a 4 game set, and there are some interesting things to note for this series. First Kevin Youkillis looks to be out for the year with a thumb injury. Adam Dunn was claimed off waivers but I suspect it wasn't by the Red Sox. The Red Sox haven't had the healthiest of seasons, and it appears our main opponent will be the Rays. But never say never with these two teams, as a series win could shift the standings in the AL East considerably for the Red Sox, or distance the Yankees in the standings.

Now that being said, at the eve of this series, I think its appropriate to make our bold prediction, so here it is: as it is the year of the pitcher I predict Javier Vazquez throws a no-hitter tonight. Its between that and Derek Jeter's 4 homerun night, but I'm leaning towards the no-hitter. How about you? Any predictions for this weekend series? The bolder they are the better they look if they come true!

Robbie Cano goes 2-3 with a homerun and a walk, then power mad climbs on top of the visitor dug out begins jumping up and down whilst informing the Red Sox that "This is [his] mother f@#$ing house". He then jumps in rubs Beltre's head and disappears into the night. Beltre sulks back to the clubhouse and weeps.

At first, I saw the 2-3 with a homerun and thought that was a lame bold prediction, but as I kept reading, it got exponentially better!

I predict that Mosley throws 8 innings of shutout baseball and mo locks up the save on Monday. The final that night will be 5-0.

See what I like about this bold prediction, is that it uses an unlikely player. Dustin Moseley going 8 innings against the Red Sox itself is bold, but 8 scoreless? That's exceptionally bold.

I predict that Bucholz won't make his start due to being in police custody after stealing laptops from a local university.

Oh, wait. You said BOLD predictions.

Here's my bold prediction: we come from behind in the 7th inning and win!

Also, each Yankee starter in the series will pitch a perfect game.

I predict that you'll stop making predictions like this and just ask the Yankees to win, especially against the scum from New England.

I can say "scum" on this site, right? Because, well, they are. Their fans, even more so.

Hey Uncle Mike, you sound like a Yankees fan living in New England. I actually don't mind the sox and even like Francona. Their fans though; that's another matter.

Now, predictions about AJ tonight? I'm crossing my fingers and hoping for a no hitter. Am I over ambitious? Anyone?
