A-Rod Beats KC, The Yankees Were There Too

The Good

Five home runs, three from Rodriguez is pretty good. Hughes got his 14th win with another quality start, and the bullpen pitched well.

The Bad

Gardner lost sight of a pop fly in the sixth. He was yelling, "I can't see it, I can't see it!" After the game there was a piano with a pair of sun glasses outside his locker. "What the F$@K is this?" asked an annoyed Gardner. "It's your new uniform, Ray Charles," came the response. Everybody laughed.

The Ugly

The Yankees hit three home runs in the sixth, one each by Rodriguez, Posada, and Granderson. Then, in the bottom of the inning, former Yankee Wilson Betemit hit a home run. As he rounded the bases he looked out towards right field where Nick Swisher was standing, the man he had been traded for two seasons ago. Betemit was all like, "Yeah." And Swish was all, "Whatever." And Betemit was on the Royals and Swish on the Yankees so Swish won.

A Groundswell of Support

The Yanks had five home runs, netting the children another $10. Looks like there is going to be a Christmas this year.
