Braves Bail Out The Yankees
As I'm sure you've all heard by now, it seems our friends in Atlanta have taken it upon themselves to live up to their name by offering Burnett a five year deal. My only response is this: Please, Pleeeeeease sign Burnett. Do not let us get stuck with him, sign him now, and sign him hard. Do whatever it takes, Atlanta. Give him six years if you need to. Sign him now. Please.

I. agree.
hopefully this post doesn't tip them off that it's a bad idea.
Oh Scheiße! That means we're going to see Derek Lowe in pinstripes.
I always thought we'd end up with Lowe, but the Yankees still need to push that front. I guess they're serious about this whole payroll thing. That would likely mean no Manny, though they might wake up and realize that their 3 & 5 hitters are free agents and that Posada and Matsui are coming back from surgery. Then they'll realize they need to sign someone.
I don't want Lowe.
We already have a Sinker specialist and a Derek.
And Apple Juice is much better than Lowe.
I want Dandy Andy.
And Bobby Abreu is better than most free agents on the marketlotstio.
im just glad we didnt give him 5 years. it would be pavano all over agin
The Braves better not sign AJ Burnett, when they could've gotten Jake Peavy via trade for a couple of minor leaguers and then signing him for the same money as Burnett.
Of course my Braves are gonna do the stoopid thing, just like signing retread Javier Vazquez...sigh.

Ed, yeah, the Braves like the Yankees are in the phase of reconstruction after watching their major dynasties collapse. Its going to take some time to rebuild a rotation of the caliber of the 90's Braves.
