King Felix?

Many reporters, and by many I mean Joel Sherman, believes that the Yankees should now go all out for Felix Hernandez. Admittedly, King Felix would be an amazing addition. Sherman suggests opening our farm system and telling the Mariners to pick any five they want. The idea is that with Felix (whose about as old as Hughes) and Sabathia we are set to win some championships down the road. Keeping our top prospects, several of which may not even see a meaningful game in the big leagues, won't give us that. So the question is, what do you think? Open up the farm for Hernandez, or develop the babies to see if we got the next Hernandez in our system (unlikely)?

I think it would be a great addition. I would not say open the system, but maybe Montero, Brackman, Nunez,Betances, and a guy like Adams would get it done. It would be a huge hit to the system, but the King is young, and would give our rotation a new look for sure. I like Felix, CC, Hughes, Andy, and Hughes...

I think any 5 prospects in our system would be worth an ace for a decade. The only way we could pay too much for KIng Felix is if we include one of our young big league stars(Cano, Hughes) in a deal along with the prospects. The only starters I'd be willing to part with are Gardner and as of right now Nova and I like them alot.

I'm more in agreement with Joey on this one. Even if they were to take our 5 best prospects, would any of those 5 become a King Felix? We'd be happy if 2 of them contributed at the big league level in a meaningful way. Though the packet that YankeeMagic is describing could potentially do it.
