Pettitte's the Cure

The Good

Andy Pettitte pitched 6 shutout innings against the Twins, helping maintain the division lead by a game and a half.  4 Yankees hit homeruns, including Granderson who hit his 40th.  Umpires didn't blow the game, the way the refs did in the Packers game last night.

The Bad

Hughes pitches today, which could mean a quality start or could mean a terrible one.  He's kind of like a young AJ Burnett, only without a dominant fastball or curveball.  So I suppose he's more like the 2011 AJ Burnett.

The Ugly

I just spent the last section bashing Hughes and Burnett, which is just mean spirited.  After all, Burnett is pitching well for the Pirates, and Hughes had a good stretch of starts recently.  Aren't my mean spirited attacks just a way to vent my dissapointment in not being drafted over Hughes back in 2004 even though I never played baseball past elementary school?  Maybe.
