I'm Going to Punch the Yankees in the Face

The Good

Really? The "good"? #&*%$@ the Yankees and their children!

The Bad

Hmm. 0-7 is pretty bad. Wang seems to really like the bullpen, because that's where they're sending his arse after this bad, no terrible, start. Clearly he wanted to go back there.

The Ugly

Your face is ugly. Go #$*^%@ yourself.

The Charitable Giving

I didn't bother to check the boxscore, I know Posada hit one to tie it up in the second. But eventually I just tuned out, replacing interest with bitterness.

Jorge Posada 9hr = $9.00
Hideki Matsui 8hr = $8.00
Derek Jeter 8hr = $8.00
Mark Teixeira 18hr = $18.00
Nick Swisher 12hr = $12.00
Robinson Cano 9hr = $9.00
Johnny Damon 12hr = $12.00
Melky Cabrera 6hr = $6.00
Jose Molina 1hr = $1.00
Alex Rodriguez 8hr = $8.00
Brett Gardner 2hr = $2.00
Total = $93.00*

If you are interested in Johnny Damon's Homerun Club or the Children's Health Fund you can find links to both at the top right hand corner of our page.

* Total only accounts for Yankee home run totals through the second inning of today's #%*&$@ing disaster.

Disclaimer:

I'm less than pleased with the Yankees right now and I may, or may not, have said some things I didn't mean in this post. Go #$*^%@ yourself.

Why did they start Wang against two of the best hitting teams in baseball?
To rebuildi his confidence and stamina?
Or to kick him out of Hughes's way once and for all?

It was the best of games, it was the worst of games.

I don't know how to explain it but this game ended up making me happier than last night's while also crushing my soul into deeper depths than any other loss before it.

I don't *really* have a problem with Wang starting tonight since the Yankees already made so many mistakes with treating his comeback inconsistently. But he never should have been inserted into the roster so soon.

Riddering, I know what you mean. The fact that the Yankees actually put up a fight was a good sign, but Wang's performance and the outcome of the game have me fairly upset.

I still think you give Wang another start, and here's why. Even when he was healthy he sucked against the Red Sox.

Raven, he had to start against those two teams because they couldn't send him to the minors to rebuild his confidence and stamina. He's out of options. He will likely get another start, but the results need to show.

Wang should get one more, he may not though. Hughes has pitched well and he's being wasted in the 'pen if this is all Wang will bring to the table. My solution? Wang should retire, then resign on a Kei Igawaesque minor league contract, thereby getting back his options, allowing him to rehab normally.

Good point, Raven K. The last start they sat Derek and Jorge, too. Maybe JG is pissed because of the comments Wang's agent made about the Yanks mishandling his rehabilitation. Is Wang still smoking?

Oh and by all means, Roberto please do punch the Yankees in the face. Really really hard. But at this point, we might all be better served if you punch multiple Red Sox, too.

Roberto E. Alejandro said...

yeah, the Red Sox have it coming. Don't worry.

Well, if it softens the blow, Carl "THE ACE" Pavano gave up 9 earned runs in 4 innings last night to Kansas City of all teams. And he was on such a roll....

You guys are way too hard on Kei Wang. Look at the brightside, he has his era down to 14 and change

Fernando Alejandro said...

Its true. We could call that improvement.

How's this sound?
Make Wang the first option out of the pen on his regular start schedule??
Short on his throw day, long on his start day. Maybe even flip flop him and Hughes in that role.
Remember what a good job Andy did pitching an inning in a game on his throw day? Last year, was that?
That and somebody remind ARod that he's not at the plate to help out with infield fieding practice.
And do a system restore on all the gloves.

Has anyone been following this whole Sarah Palin/Letterman controversy that involved the ARod joke? My question is: While everyone is up in arms over her kid, why is nobody sticking up for Alex, since he was the other half of this joke that was supposedly so offensive toward an underage girl (when Letterman really meant the 18 yr old)? Palin's camp is turning this joke into a joke about rape and pedophilia, etc. and he's the perp in all of it! He's been accused and done alot of things, but that's not one of them... Where's the outrage for my AROD???? Now he's in the middle of a political shit-storm ~ Dude can't stay out of controversy and its not even his fault!!!

kept giving chances, but wang walked em nd stalked em.. (wtf)....truly a painful game.. within one run and your tryna tell me we can get two (back to back i think) homers off a reliever and cant rally to get 1 or 2 more runs??.. dive into a pitch, take one to the groin, where it feels like we've all been hit, and get us a damn win over boston..my heart was literally fluttering in the top of the ninth...and then..boom..another FAIL....iAm frustrated

I'm with you Ruthie. Very frustrating to watch this series right now.

The Yankees have been really successful in attempting to destroy Wang's career.
They ordered him to bunt when the team had a 3 run lead.
They screwed up his rehab twice in a roll.
They let him hang out to dry in the bull pen.
They threw him on the mound to face two of the best hitting teams in baseball.
And now, they demand "a real good start" from him one day after his wife giving birth to their first child, when they "imagine he'll be a little exhausted" because it's "quite an emotional day".
How about putting a bullet through his head and stopping torturing him?
