A Weekend of Rain

The Good

Hughes pitched another solid 6 innings, allowing just 2 runs with 6 strikeouts for the win. Posada ate his Wheaties and went 3-5 in that game with 6 RBI's including a grandslam. Turns out he's not done yet. Granderson hit his 33rd homerun of the season breaking all notions of him not being a homerun hitter. Wade, Ayala, and Noesi impressed over the weekend with a combined 4 innings of scoreless baseball.

The Bad

5 runs off Sabathia? We don't play that!

The Ugly

We're down to a 5 man rotation for the time being after Freddy Garcia cut his hand. "I was playing catch with my son." Explained Garcia. "But not with a baseball. We were playing knife catch. Its perfectly safe if you catch it by the handle. You just have to time it right, but knife catch is a drinking game so my timing was a little off. I got cut, and now I can't throw a splitter. Its frustrating."

Granderson and Posada gave the babies a reason to rejoice with their homeruns this weekend. That's $4 to the Children's Health Fund, good for a bottle of Dymetapp.
