Is Spring Training Always This Slow?

Maybe we were spoiled by A-Rod, but it seems that since last week's festivities have died down, there is nothing to report on. I keep seeing articles with titles like, "X player prefer coke over pepsi." Great, now if we could only get to the bottom of the preferred ice cream flavor of the major leagues we'd really be on to something.

There's not much to talk about as players start practicing, suffer minor injuries, and play pool. The WBC is around the corner and that should heat things up a bit. One hopes.

I'll call Brian Cashman in the near future. And maybe we'll check in with A-Rod to see how his crisis management team is doing. Peace to the out.

As a member of ARod's crisis management team (even though he doesn't know it), I am pleased to report he is doing well and things are back to normal in the clubhouse. All the young kids love him, Jeter and Posada still despise him, and Pettitte would to had he not been guilty as well.... Girardi's NEW approach of giving a crap about his players more is really paying off big dividends so far!

I thought it was sweet that A-Rod had his daughter at the game the other day. Maybe he's getting back to basics - egg whites and granola, as opposed to boli.

I am a bit more cynical, She-Fan. I think the photo op with his daughter was just part of the crisis team's suggestion to be (look like) a good father for the next 18-24 months.

Considering her age, his daughter has been at quite a few games - even after the divorce. I can't be cynical about Alex the daddy, I just can't...
