Sergio Mitre Not the Best Stopper in the Game

The Good

I'm convinced that Eric Hinske only hits homeruns. He must be swinging for the fences in hope of more playing time. Hasn't worked out yet.

A-Rod went 3-5 with an RBI.

The Bad

Melancon was the only reliever not to give up a run yesterday. David Robertson did okay, but Aceves' shoulder still looks fatigued. It could be rust, but his next appearance should tell.

The Ugly

Sergio Mitre went 3 innings allowing 5 runs. Something told me he wouldn't get the job done. Not for nothing, but we could really use another starter.

Respect Jeter's Gangster is for the Children

The "Respect Jeter's Gangster" blog joined Johnny Damon's home run club, which raises money for the Children's Health Fund. We are pledged to donate $1.00 for every homerun the Yankees hit this season. Eric Hinske has been very beneficial to the Children's Health Fund in his limited playing time. We thank you Mr. Hinske.
