The Good
Melky Cabrera went 4-5 and hit for the cycle, the first Yankee to do so in 14 years! But in a clear attempt to steal the show, Marky T stole a base yesterday. His second of the season. Mariano Rivera got a 4 out save.
The Bad
Jorge Posada came in as a pinch hitter and struck out. He should be ashamed for himself and his family.
The Ugly
CC Sabathia went 7 innings and allowed 5 runs. He didn't pitch horribly but had some bad innings. The thing is, his season ERA is now at 3.95. I'm pretty sure that's not what the Yankees expected when he signed for $161 million.
Respect Jeter's Gangster is for the Children
The "Respect Jeter's Gangster" blog joined Johnny Damon's home run club, which raises money for the Children's Health Fund. We are pledged to donate $1.00 for every homerun the Yankees hit this season. Yesterday, Melky hit his 10th homerun of the season as he went on to hit for the cycle.

I am liking this Jerry Hairston Jr guy. Good move by Cashman, it seems he will help us out. By the way, did you notice Angel Berrorra hit a grand slam for the Mets?
If Sergio has another subpar outing are we going to see Kei Igawa? I shudder at just the thought of it.
That's a good question, my hope is that there's at least one better option in our minor league system. If not, the future of the Yankees is shot.
How do you pronounce Rzepczynski?
That's a great question Raven. I have not the slightest idea.
