Slow News Day?

As I do most every morning, I headed over to the New York Times to find out what was going on in the world. After scanning a number of headlines I headed to sports where I saw this article detailing Mark Teixeira's boyhood fandom of Don Mattingly.

This is interesting, at least it was when the Yankees signed Teixeira right before Christmas and we had to read article after article about the fact that Teixeira, who grew up in B-more, liked Don Mattingly as a kid. Maybe we can get a breaking story from the newswire that the Yankees will be wearing pin stripes on their uniforms. Oh wait, this just in, Baseball is integrating! What's that, bleacher seats have gone up to $0.75? For shame!

For shame indeed, New York Times. Get your act together and stop recycling stories. If nothing else, call up Jayson Blair and have him make up some stories. At least they'll be fresh.

lol......at least he's got good taste... i think each new addition is asked who were they're fav players or fav yankee growing up, and it tells you alot about the guy.. like hearing how humbeled CC sabathia was in the prescence of my fav player, reggie jackson, it just shows you some of the characteristiscs they value.. but after hearing about theses things the first week of them signing their contract, it gets pretty stale....nice filler post btw. =)

if your really looking for a good filler, you guys should do a post called the curious case of manny ramierez, i think your comical expertise on a subject that i find so intrestingly hilarious would be cool to see...
maybe a guest apperence by george stinebrenners horse...... (wink)

I punched Steinbrenner's horse in the face last night, so he may be out of commission for a bit. I gotta stop hanging out with Kei Igawa.

I thought the same thing about that Times article today. Maybe I should give them another article about having my Tarot Cards read.

I gave them an article about dinosaurs, but I haven't heard back from them yet. Maybe this next article about dinosaurs and ninja's and the current state of the Yankees bullpen will do better.
