WTF?

The Good

Mark Teixeira was taken out of the game in the first inning after being hit in the knee by a pitch from Sox starter John Lester. Lester later hit Russell Martin. The Yankees did nothing about it.

The Bad

'That's not good,' you say? No. It isn't. But the Yankees being complete p#$$!#s is about the closest thing to a positive in this game. Garcia lasted about as long as his warm-up pitches. We didn't score much. We couldn't even retaliate in a losing effort. What are they going to do? Toss you? YOU'RE STARTER DIDN'T GET OUT OF THE SECOND! Who gives a #@$&! Hit someone and lose the game already!

The Ugly

The manager whining about Papi's antics after he didn't apparently bother to tell his pitcher to put someone on their back is kind of ugly.

The Callous

The Yankees hit no home runs yesterday. Way to go, guys.

Mark Teixeira 18hr = $36
Curtis Granderson 17hr = $34
Russell Martin 9hr = $18
Alex Rodriguez 10hr = $20
Jorge Posada 6hr = $12
Robinson Cano 12hr = $24
Andruw Jones 4hr = $8
Brett Gardner 3hr = $6
Nick Swisher 5hr = $10
Derek Jeter 2hr = $4
Francisco Cervelli 1hr = $2
Eduardo Nunez 1hr = $2
Total = $170

Wow. Glad I missed this one.

0-8 to start the season against the Sox in 2009. Let's keep that mind.

David Ortiz should overcome his corpulence and get down on his knees and thank God and Bud Selig -- he probably can't tell the difference -- that he's even allowed to play professional baseball after being a big fat lying cheating steroid user, getting caught, lying about it, and getting exposed as such.

Enough is enough. I have had it with the Red Sox. Start hitting them. And if you get fined and suspended, take Selig to court. Either apply the rules equally (if you're going to toss a Yankee pitcher for hitting a Sox batter, any Sox batter, then toss Lester for purposely hitting both Teixeira AND Martin), or don't apply the rules at all and let the players do what they want, and may the last team standing win.

This is disgusting. Ortiz should be banned for life, the Sox' titles stricken from the record, and Lester suspended for at least one start or until Teix returns, whichever is longer. But we have a spineless milquetoast in the commissioner's office, and as long as the Red Sox are winning, he will pander to them.

We all know Bud Selig uses steroids. And the RJG just discovered that he buys them from Ortiz.

And I totally forgot about the 2009 season. Didn't we end up having a winning record against them that season? I think the major difference is that our pitching just isn't standing up to their offense, and isn't showing any signs that they will.

Our pitchers are not standing to their offense AND our batters are not hitting their pitchers. Hmm...

Your "the bad" review perfectly describes my feelings about last night's game. LOL

Even the good and the bad were ugly.
