I've never read the terms of Joe Girardi's contract with the Yankees, but based on his management of today's game, I suspect it reads something like this:
I, Joe Girardi, agree to watch all games from the dugout, easily the best seat in the house. I recognize that as a spectator, I am not to interfere with what happens on the field.

Alas! AJ Skywalker lost to Yoda Halladay in a Jedi dual.
Hopefully the Jays can make it to the playoffs this season. I'd love to see the Doc pitch in both the ALCS and the WS.
BTW, Obi Wang, the one and only Yankees starter who has defeated Yoda Halladay, throws six shutout innings in Triple-A rehab start.
Haha. The truth is, I didn't expect Burnett to beat Halladay today, though I was hoping for it. I just wish he was pulled out earlier than he was, because his final line doesn't show how good he really pitched.
exactly my point. Girardi has been leaving guys in way too long. I guess that walk to the mound must be longer than we realize because he clearly doesn't want to leave the dugout.
