What Honorable Columnists We Have

Check out this article on cnnsi.com. Apparently the comments concerning A-Rod in Torre's book are not from Torre but based on interviews with other players. Just goes to show that most of these columnists probably didn't even read the book before they started trying to accuse Torre of disloyalty and blah blah blah.

Except for the fact that its Torre's book, and he had ultimate control over what went in it.

I like the part where Torre blames Wells for what was in his book, although Wells "didn't write it" and now people are using the same excuse for Torre.

I love how Damon rushed to A-Rod's defense. Very sweet.

I'm not sure how we would do that save perhaps to determine a time and do it through the comments section. I'll ask my brother about it.

Torre did write his book, but I've seen some excerpts, including some of the parts supposedly bashing A-Rod. What's been reported has been greatly exaggerated. Torre never says any of the things being reported, they come from other individuals, and in context, aren't even insults really, just a discussion of how A-Rod tried to hard when he first got to new york, but ultimately learned to relax in the clubhouse.

Sorry Carson, where the Jeter bashing is fine, and in fact lends to his gangster, the content of your post is inappropriate. Still, I do love your phillies site, and your corresponding animosity towards the Mets. Don't take this as a knock against you! Its a knock against your content!

Know what would have defused all the controversy?

Titling the book
"The Yankees
The Joe torre Years."
