Yankees Honor Boss's Love for Pies

The Good

In their first game back since the passing of Bob Sheppard and George Steinbrenner, the Yankees defeated the Tampa Bay Rays with a walk-off win. A tribute to their fallen Boss they considered fitting.

The Bad

The Boss loved wins, but not more than he loved managerial changes. If you really wanted to honor him, you would've fired and rehired Girardi in a span of five hours. That would have been a real tribute.

The Ugly

AJ Burnett hit Nick Swisher with the whipped cream pie so hard that Swisher's face was horribly disfigured. What's that you say? Swisher always looked like that? Zing!

Bomber Tribute

Cano, Posada, and Swisher all hit home runs in last night's game. Coincidence? Yes, largely.

Posada 10hr = $20
Granderson 7hr = $14
Cano 17hr = $34
Swisher 16hr = $32
Jeter 8hr = $16
Johnson 2hr = $4
Rodriguez 14hr = $28
Teixeira 16hr = $32
Thames 3hr = $6
Gardner 5hr = $10
Winn 1hr = $2
Miranda 2hr = $4
Total = $204
