Good Stuff From Fox Sports

Click here for some live updates on the progress at the Winter Meetings. Of most relevance to the Yankees are the report that the Tigers are close to completing a trade for Jackson to an unknown team, and that the Angels have entered the bidding for Jason Bay. If Boston can't lock down Bay, their offense starts to look pretty shakey for next year, even with the addition of Marco Scutaro.

their offense will not be shaky without bay, since I will start feeding Ortiz roids agian. haha, foiled again!

The Angels have got to be feeling some heat from the Mariners. I bet they'll overpay for a couple of guys.

Don't you remember Ortiz's season splits? Through June 5th: 1 homerun, after June 5th: 27 homeruns. He may have started drinking those Dominican milk shakes already.

Rob, do you think the Mariners will compete? Chone Figgans is a good start, but definitely not enough to make that team compete next season. They still need some boppers and Ken Griffey Jr. doesn't count.

I'm with you Rob, not sure if it will be Bay (it may well be), but they'll definitely overpay for someone. Considering Holliday's rough stretch in Oakland last season, Bay seems the likely choice if the Angels are going to attempt to sign an 'impact' player.
