Moyer Outpitches Garza

Moyer out did Garza last night, and the Phillies went on to win the game in the 9th. It was a very well played game with speed determining the outcome. Upton scored at one point by stealing second, stealing third, and then scoring on the bad throw to Pedro Feliz. The Phillies won when Bruntlet had went for second on a wild pitch and advanced to third on a mis-throw. Tonight it will be Sonnanstine and Blanton going head to head. Should be a good game, though I don't really know what to expect from those two. Here's hoping Upton finds his power stroke again.

2 down, 2 to go.

Let's go Phillies!

That first career homerun of Joe "I'm not a hitter" Blanton was really awesome.
But way too many bad calls from the umpires.
I hope Moose comes back next season and duels with Moyer in the interleague game against the Phillies.

The Phillies fans took note of Yankees fans chanting "overrated" at Papelbon in the All Star Game.
It inspired them to chant "Eva" at Longoria whenever he stepped into the batter's box.
People really can learn a lot from baseball.

Yeah I saw that. Blanton must be excited. I think this is the end for the Rays. I don't think they'll beat Hamels. They really needed to win the Moyer game, and after they lost that one, it was a must that they win against Blanton. You can't go against Hamels with the series on the line.

Yesterday's game was more sloppy than most Rays games. Iwamura had a really hard time defensively. Upton, Pena, and Longoria have been non-entities. If that all changes tonight, then maybe the Rays have a chance.
