Lamenting the Rays
I was rooting for the Rays, the young scrappy upstarts who did me the favor of sending Boston home early, but now it looks like the Phillies are about to crush their youthful dreams. Oh Phillies, how cruel thou art! All those kids on the Rays want to do is play ball, and the Phillies will destroy their spirit for it. So let that be a lesson to all you kids out there. Don't dream about winning a World Series, because the Phillies will crush your dream and then you'll wish you were never born (unless of course you dream about winning a World Series with the Phillies in which case go jump off a building). I'm not a sore loser, you're a loser. Zing. Who am I talking to? Lordamercy!

as much as I wanted the Rays to win, at this point im more concerned about the off season...
just making a pointless post to let you know I'm still reading
Thanks for reading Bucky. As you well know, until the off-season starts, we at the RJG really have nothing relevant to talk about. Thus all this commentary on the world series.
Well, it's not over yet. Maybe Hamels will have a bad game (yeah, sure). And maybe the Rays' bats will wake up and Joe Maddon will stop making weird decisions and the umpires will start making accurate calls. Otherwise, it's on to the hot stove.
The call on the Jimmy Rollins tag was awful, but what was even worse is that Sonnanstine didn't throw to second for the double play. That was the bigger error in the inning.
The first pro sport team in human history to achieve the 10000th franchise loss rules!
Let's go Phillies!
