Stadium Trip, April Edition

My brother and I went to today's game and I hope to publish a few of the images here shortly. My brother called the Posada home run, while I called my friends to tell them about it. All in all, it was a good day. Biggest observation about the new stadium? Do not sit in the obstructed view seats. As is clear from the following long range photo, taken with the RJG spy cam, you cannot even see the tv screens they put up from a fairly good number of them, especially if you're in the last nine or ten rows sitting near the wall:

Here is what the obstructed view looks like when actually sitting in the right field bleachers:

I was at the game too. Very exciting. Did you notice how the expensive seats behind home plate were virtually empty? I wonder if it will be like that for the whole season.

The number of empty seats was embarrassing. Behind home plate, behind both dugouts, the leather seats in the luxury boxes below the upper tiers, almost all were empty. They either need to lower the price or just start giving tickets away to charities or other paying fans. It's gotta look terrible on TV.

WOW!!! the seats with obscured views was worster then i though... Its the yankees man, couldnt they have invested in a see through frieze (fascade), or something... that litteraly looks like my unfinished attic....

how much did you guys shell out for your tickets? / do you think with all the backlash, the yankees with make some changes during the offseason wether structurally or in terms of pricing tickets?

The Yanks should be embarrassed to charge for those obstructed seats. And the architects ought to be even more embarrassed.

The House the Boss Built--a Stadium with not only obstructed but overpriced seats.

I'm embarrassed by the number of people who believe the explanation of that second picture.

Yes, the second picture was a joke. We took it while waiting in line to get into the museum. We thought it was pretty funny.

It wasn't pretty funny, it was hilarious.
