At this point in the season with 16 wins under his belt and a shot at 20, its only natural to start considering whether Moose can win a Cy Young this year. As good a pitcher as he has been, Moose has never won a Cy Young and has never won 20 games in a season. Moose's biggest competition likely comes from Cleveland's Cliff Lee who is the AL leader in wins with 17 and in ERA with a 2.43 clip. Many will say that because the Indians are a sub .500 team that Lee shouldn't be considered, but honestly that has nothing to do with how well he's pitched. His 17-2 record is nasty. But there is something to be said about a contender, and if the Yankees do make it to the playoffs, it will be because of Mussina's amazing season. So the question is, do you think Mussina will win the Cy Young award? Sound off!
