The Good
Matsui had a 3 run homerun to make it look like the Yankees were still playing baseball. Damon stole 2 bases.
The Bad
Ponson and every other pitcher the Yankees put on the mound last night got shelled. Ponson, Robertson, Traber, and Britton combined to give up 14 earned runs.
The Ugly
Things aren't looking too good right now. I'm talking Carl Pavano is pitching Saturday not good. I'm talking 1992 Yankees not good. I'm talking Billy Traber should be DFA's not good. I'm talking Mike Mussina is the only bright spot on this entire team not good. It's not good.
Respect Jeter's Gangster is for the Children
The "Respect Jeter's Gangster" blog joined Johnny Damon's home run club, which raises money for the Children's Health Fund. We are pledged to donate $1.00 for every homerun the Yankees hit this season. We will keep a running tally of the home runs hit and the money donated throughout the season. As long as they're losing, we at least have charity to feel good about life. Matsui hit a 3-run homer to show what post-operative knees can do for children's health.
