Jeter Shows What Post-Operative Quads Can Do

The Good

Pettitte went 7 innings and only gave up 1 run. Bruney stepped in for 2 shutout innings of his own. Nady, Damon, and Jeter all had multi-hit games with Jeter having 3 hits including a homerun. He is 2 hits shy of 2,500, and only 3,502 hits shy of 6,000, which he'll undoubtedly reach in the next couple years.

The Bad

Giambi and A-Rod need to step things up. They combined to go 0-7 yesterday.

The Ugly

What's up with Cano? He finished July batting .327 and everyone was excited that Cano was making his comeback. Then August came and with yesterday's 0-3 performance, Cano is batting .262 on the month. I just don't get it.

Respect Jeter's Gangster is for the Children

The "Respect Jeter's Gangster" blog joined Johnny Damon's home run club, which raises money for the Children's Health Fund. We are pledged to donate $1.00 for every homerun the Yankees hit this season. We will keep a running tally of the home runs hit and the money donated throughout the season. Yankee legend and life-long hero Derek Jeter hit a homerun last night to show his appreciation for Children's Health.
