The Good
A-Rod recovered from his previous performance with 2 doubles and an RBI. Marte was particularly impressive pitching an inning with 2 strikeouts and both Edwar Ramirez and Chris Britton pitched a combined 2.1 innings of scoreless baseball.
The Bad
The Yankee offense scored 3 runs, and looked generally lifeless on the field. Pudge has not adjusted well to New York as he went 0-4 bringing him to a .192 average since coming to the Yankees.
The Ugly
Though the offense didn't help the pitching staff put it out of reach. Ponson gave up 4 runs in 4.2 innings, than Veras gave up 5, and Robertson gave up 2. Its hard to over come 11 runs. As Hank Steinbrenner put it, they sucked. This is the last regular season series that will be played with the Red Sox at Yankee stadium, and its a shame the Yankees are ruining this.
Respect Jeter's Gangster is for the Children
The "Respect Jeter's Gangster" blog joined Johnny Damon's home run club, which raises money for the Children's Health Fund. We are pledged to donate $1.00 for every homerun the Yankees hit this season. We will keep a running tally of the home runs hit and the money donated throughout the season.
