Respecting Jeter's Gangster
Today's ninth inning is exactly why this blog is called Respect Jeter's Gangster. Down by one, leading off the inning, Jeter gets on base. Abreu then drew a walk moving Jeter into scoring position. I'm not an A-Rod hater, but this ninth inning reminded me of the 2005 playoffs, where A-Rod promptly grounded into a double play in the ninth inning of a game we needed to win. Why is it that everyone seems to be able to find a way on base in these situations except for A-Rod? Anyway, Yanks lose, A-Rod sucks, yay Jeter.

What a lousy way to lose a must-win game.
Cano has a “smoothness” to his game? Joe Girardi is obviously out of his mind.
Girardi really needs to drop the cool act. His team is losing, and will likely miss the playoffs for the first time in 12 years. Cano played good defense last season when Bowa was riding him, but now he's gotten sloppy and lazy. Definitely not Roberto Alomar.
